COURTS CLOSED MONDAY, MAY 18

For those of you who check-in to this blog.........COURTS are CLOSED on Monday, May 18th.

Due to the heavy amount of rain on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, the courts are too soft for play.  Court 1 suffered severe damage on Friday when the court was used too soon after the morning rain had stopped.  The net has been lowered until the repairs are complete and the court is ready for use. I will begin repairing Court 1 on Monday.  I'm sure most everyone has noticed the CLOSED and OPEN signs on the gates.  Please observe these, as they will help protect the courts from further catastrophic damage.

We all need to self-monitor the court conditions.  Here are some tips that will help you determine the playability of the courts:

1.  Standing water on the courts.
2.  Courts feel 'soft' under your feet.
3.  Your feet leave imprints where you have walked (this is what happened on Friday)
4.  Your feet dig into the court when your change direction.

If you experience these characteristics or are in doubt of the condition, please refrain from play until further notice.

I will post some photos of the damage on Monday.
