Tennis Guidelines

TENNIS GUIDELINES 


COURT RESERVATIONS

·        Reserve your court ahead of time to ensure availability.  Write-in member’s last name using the pencil provided near the court reservation sheet.  Indicate start and finish time.

·        Reservation may be made a maximum of 7-days ahead.  Please limit your reservation to one court only.  Please contact the Tennis Director for large group reservations.

·        Please limit reservation to 2 hours.  If other members are waiting to play, it is considered good etiquette to forfeit your court after 90-minutes.

·        Please do not call the FCC Office to make a court reservation.  This must be done on-site at the Tennis Facility.


ATTIRE 

·        Proper attire should be worn while using the tennis facility.

·        SMOOTH-SOLED SHOES MUST BE WORN.  You will not be allowed to play if you are wearing a shoe that damages the courts.

·        Men’s shirts should have sleeves. Collared shirts are recommended for men, but not mandatory.

·        All shorts, skirts, pants should have a finished hem. 

·        Bathing suits are not allowed to be worn while using the tennis facility.


ETIQUETTE

·        Follow established USTA guidelines of good sportsmanship and etiquette. 

·        Set cell phones to SILENT while on court.

·        Wait until play is stopped on the adjacent court before retrieving your tennis ball.

·        Abusive language will not be tolerated.

·        To allow others to enjoy their game, please keep a low volume when talking next to another group.


GUEST PRIVILEGES

·        Applicable anytime a Member brings a guest(s) to play tennis.

·        Register your guest(s) at the Tennis Info Board BEFORE PLAY BEGINS.

·        Members will be charged $20 per day for each guest.

·        Each person who is not a current FCC Member will be limited to 6 (six) annual visits to play tennis. This is exclusive of weekly events, special events and instruction.
