SRO At FCC

It was one of the most amazing sites I’ve ever seen at the FCC Tennis Courts.  

On Sunday afternoon, the courts were full.  

Of course it helped that the weather was grand.  It also was nice to see so many of our new players on-court. They’ve seamlessly blended with the existing base of players we already have.  But there was one more amazing site on this beautiful Sunday afternoon.  

We had members WAITING to play.  That’s right. Too many players and not enough courts.  It’s a trend that’s been more and more prevalent the last 5 years.  

“We” the tennis-fans at FCC may never get the notariety of the golf crowd, but perhaps what I love most about my 20 years here is the passion and pride I witness every day from the FCC members that step foot on court everyday.  

I have the best job at FCC.   

Last Month of CardioTennis

The final dates of CardioTennis are August 12, 19 and 26. 

If you haven't tried it yet come on over at NOON on any of the next three Saturday's for a great tennis cross training workout !!!

Final Week for FCC Tennis Events !!

Its been a long, hot, fun tennis summer at FCC, but there's still one more week of our events remaining.  Hope to see you at our courts before they close for the season.

This week's events are:

• Monday 10am Co-Ed Drill & Play I
• Tuesday 5:30pm Co-Ed Drill & Play II

It's been great to see so many new members at the courts this year!  Whether it was Cardio-Tennis, the weekly drill & play events, the annual club championships, the summer mixers, the USTA Matches, the private lessons or just open member friendlies - it was a lot of fun to watch all our members take advantage of our facility so often!!  It is truly enjoyable to see everyone have so much fun with the sport.

Courts will remain open and maintained daily through the month of September. After that, courts are open for members use, but there is no daily maintenance and upkeep.  We ask that you groom your own courts when your game is complete.  Brushes and line cleaners can be found on the west fences and the water fountain and bathrooms will remain operable at the pool building.  Courts will close for the season on October 31.
